You can get the first-time TIN Card for free. However, you must pay the P100.00 fee to replace your card due to loss or damage. Remember that each person can get only one TIN Card in one state.

A Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is an identification number, called a TIN ID or TIN Card. You can use it for tax purposes in the Philippines, United States, and other countries. It is also known as the Federal Taxpayer Identification Number.
A Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is a nine-digit system-generated reference index number. The BIR assigns and issues the TIN ID to each person. The number issued to each individual is unique and different from the other.
The TIN Card mentions complete information about you like name, address, birth date, picture, and signature.
What are TIN ID Requirements?

BIR Registration Form:
- Form No 1901: This form is for mixed-income (Job and Business) and self-employed, estates, trusts, and non-resident aliens in business or trade.
- Form No 1902: This form is for those who earn income via purely compensation including alien and local employees.
- Form No 1903: This form is for registration for partnerships or Corporations (Non Taxable/Taxable).
- Form No 1904: This form is for those who need to pay tax one time and those who register under Executive Order No. 98.

- Issuing agency: Taxpayer-applicant
If transacting through a representative:
- Apostilled, Philippine Embassy or Consulate authenticated Special Power of Attorney (SPA). (1 scanned copy).
- Government-issued IDs of taxpayer-applicant and the authorized representative. (1 scanned copy).
For International Gaming Licensee (IGL) or POGO Employees:
- Employment contract or equivalent document that shows information about the employment duration, compensation, benefits, and scope of duties. (1 scanned copy).

How to get TIN ID Philippines?
You can get the TIN ID in the Philippines online or by visiting an Office. You can use any of the methods according to your preference.
Online Application:
You can apply for the TIN ID online through the BIR’s Online Registration and Update System (ORUS). In this way, you can get the digital TIN ID. After completing the process, you can download or print the card at any shop.
BIR Revenue District Office (RDO):
You can also get your TIN ID by visiting your BIR branch Revenue District Office (RDO) in the Philippines. However, you must visit the designated RDO office.
How to get TIN ID through RDO?
It is a much easier and simple process to get a TIN ID via RDO. Therefore, you can check the step-by-step instructions to apply for a TIN ID below. Each person has different requirements and preferences for a TIN ID.
That is why, you must understand the procedure to get a TIN ID according to your preference in the instructions below.
How to get TIN ID for New Employees?
If you are a new employee and want the TIN ID, follow the instructions below.
- First of all, you must check the required details and collect them.
- Take BIR Form 1902 and fill it with the required information.
- Visit the HR Department and submit the BIR form and required documents.
- The HR Department checks your documents for further processing for your TIN ID. Wait for a few days and they will issue you the Card.
- If you need to process it yourself, visit the Revenue District Office (RDO). You must visit the RDO, where your company is registered.
- Provide all your documents to the RDO. They will process the documents and show you the TIN ID Card within the same day.
Note: You have only 10 days from the date of employment to register.
How to get TIN ID for students or Unemployed or Foreign?
If you are a student, Foreign, or Unemployed, you can also apply for the TIN ID under Executive Order No.98. However, you can also apply for the TIN Card if you are above 18 years of age.
- Collect the required documents.
- Fill out BIR Form 1904.
- Visit the nearest RDO of the city where you reside.
- Submit the BIR form and the documents to authorized personnel.
- The RDO personnel will process your documents and form.
- They will complete the further processing to examine your application and issue the TIN Card within three working days.
Note: You have to apply for the application before paying or returning any taxes.
How to get TIN ID for Self Employed and Mixed Income Earners:
You can submit your application for the TIN ID if you have a job and own a business.
- Get the BIR Form 1901 and fill it with the required information.
- Go to the BIR RDO and provide your documents and form to the New Business registrant Counter.
- In the BIR office at the New Business registrant Counter, you pay Php 30.00 for Loose DST and/or BIR printed Invoice payment. (if you want to buy for use)
- They will issue you the certificate of Registration (Form 2303) and notice to Issue a receipt/invoice. You can also get the BIR printed invoices and eReceipt as payment proof.

TIN ID Registration Online:
Now without the hassle of visiting the RDO, you can submit your TIN ID application online. The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) recently announced that you can submit your TIN ID application through BIR Online Registration and Update System or ORUS.
BIR Online Registration for TIN Number:
- Go to https://orus.bir.gov.ph and create your ORUS account.
- Click on the New Registration.
- Select As a Non-Individual or As An Individual according to your preference.
- Now you see the requirement details. Scroll down and click on the Create an Account button.
- Carefully must read the ORUS Terms of Services and User Agreement.
- After reading the terms and conditions click on the check box and hit the Agree button at the bottom.
- A New page will appear on your screen Create an ORUS Account.
- Now, you select the Taxpayer under Register As and also select one option according to your need.

How to get TIN ID Without Existing TIN?
- If you do not already have a TIN ID, you can select Without Existing TIN.
- As you click on it you will receive a prompt message. Read the instructions and click on the I Agree Button.
- Click on the User Type- Transaction arrow and a prompt message will appear.
- You must select the type of your TIN ID.
- The application form will appear on the screen.
- Enter the correct information and click on the Captcha box.
- Click on the Register Button at the bottom.
- Fill the TIN ID online application form.
- Upload the required documents and click on confirm.
- Wait for the email notification. The agency will process your application and issue the digital TIN ID.
- You can check your application status via email. If your application is approved, visit the ORUS profile page.
- Click on the View Your Digital TIN ID button.
- Check your details like name, RDO number, TIN, and photo securely.
- You can also check the QR code and issue date of the card.
How to get TIN ID with existing TIN Number?
- If you already have the TIN ID card but want the Digital TIN ID, select With Existing TIN.
- Enter the required information and click on the Register button.
- Upload the required documents and fulfill the requirements.
- Submit your TIN ID application.
- You will receive an email notification about your TIN ID and follow the instructions.
Note: You can just submit your Digital TIN ID application after creating the ORUS account. You also do not even need to get a physical TIN Card. The digital TIN ID Card will work as the TIN Card.
How to get TIN ID if Lost?
You can also get the TIN ID if your TIN Card is lost or damaged. Here are the simple guidelines that you can follow to replace your TIN ID.
Requirements:
Here is the list of the requirements that you need to get the TIN ID. You must bring 1 original copy of each.
- BIR Form No. 1905
- Latest 1×1 Photo ID
- Any government-issued ID
- Affidavit of Loss TIN Card
- Old TIN Card or photocopy (If applicable)
Step by Step Instructions to get the Lost TIN ID:
- Bring BIR Form No. 1905 and fill it with the required information.
- You must get the Affidavit of Loss TIN Card.
- Check the documents and attach them with the BIR form.
- Visit the designated RDO and get the queue number at the office entrance.
- Wait for your number to be called and submit your complete documents at the registration counter.
- The RDO Jurisdiction will verify your documents and print the new TIN Card.
- You can receive your TIN Card and paste your photo ID in front of the Registration Office.
- Pay your P100.00 card fee.
Important Notes:
- Personal appearance is important to you during first-time applications and replacements.
- You have to pay the P100.00 fee for the card.
- Fake TIN cards will be destroyed.

- Go to www.bir.gov.ph.
- Click the Chat with Revie on the bottom right.
- It will show you the different options, you choose TIN Validation.
- Click the view and a form will appear.
- Enter your TIN Number, First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Sex assigned as birth, and Birthday, and click on Submit Form.
- After that, follow the given instructions.
What is the fee for TIN ID?
You can get the first TIN card free of cost. There are no fees for card and process. However, if you lose your cards or your card is damaged, you have to pay a P100.00 fee for the TIN Card.
Can you get TIN ID in any BIR Branch?
You cannot go to any BIR branch or RDO office to obtain a TIN ID. In the Philippines, every taxpayer is assigned only one of the Revenue District Office (RDO) according to the business or home location.
You can just visit your designated RDO based on your location. Therefore, you must check your designated RDO office before visiting any of the RDO offices.
